The tunnel that brought the open body’s for the early Buick’s. This tunnel started from the W.F. Stewart body works and traveled under Hamilton Avenue ending in factory #01. Photo is from Don Bent’s book “A Place Called Buick”.

These three views inside of factory #4 show (at top left) open body construction. The top right photo shows an open body being sent through the tunnel which ran under Hamilton Ave. north to factory #01 for paint. The bottom photo shows the turntable used for making closed body Buick’s.
